BabeeGreens Cloth Diaper Review & Giveaway Ends

BabeeGreens is a better world for babies. They manufacture all of their organic cloth diapers and diaper products in Asheville, North Carolina. Babee Greens utilizes natural organic textiles and eco-friendly materials to create a healthy diaper alternative for babies and the environment. All of their products are CPSIA compliant.

BabeeGreens
This diaper is a one size diaper and if you have been following my blog long enough, you know I am a stickler for one size diapers.  When I first received this diaper, I kept looking at it wondering how in the world it was a one size diaper.  I couldn't find any hidden elastic, I didn't find anything.  So, I had to read up on it. If you check out the video here it shows you how to adjust the size and fit for a newborn and for a toddler. Thankfully we really didn't need to make any adjustments it fit just right for Baby B!

As you saw from the picture above, this diaper does come with a contoured liner/soaker that snaps in! Depending on the level of absorbency you are needing, you can either snap the liner inside of the diaper and or not use the liner. It really depends on the amount of absorbency you are looking for.

These are natural in color, hence the very natural and organic. Why is organic cotton better for the environment and for babies? Traditional cotton is one of the largest pesticide dependent crops in the world, using an overwhelming 26% of the world's pesticides each year. Cotton attracts a wide range of insects that are treated with pesticides, fungicides and other sprays, and then fertilized with synthetic fertilizers that have a negative effect on the environment. Conventional cotton fabric is processed with Chlorine bleach to whiten the cotton. Therefore, what goes next to your baby’s skin is laden with chemicals.

BabeeGreens cloth diapers are called Growing Greens diapers. They are one-size diapers which do come in 2 different fabric options: 100% organic cotton and an organic cotton/hemp combination. Growing Greens are fitted diapers, and more and more everyday I am loving fitted diapers , and these will need a cover!

I have tried other natural and organic products and I remember them having a different touch to the fabric.  One comes more to mind was one that when Baby B would get it wet, the soaker would get really hard.  I tried different things with this soaker and everytime it just would get hard when it got wet.  So I was a little nervous when I first tried this diaper because I thought we were going to experience the same exact thing.

However we didn't experience the hardening of the diaper at all, it stayed the same and I was beyond thrilled.  Baby was very uncomfortable when the previous one was hard, but with this one she has no problem crawling around or being on the move.

Special Note:

Please do not boil Babee Greens diapers. Although made to withstand high temperature, doing so may result in damaging poly resin snaps and natural rubber in elastic.
