Country Save Detergent Plus Giveaway

A mom with three children who is just learning to cloth diaper her 11 week old, has entered a new world. This new world is fear that I will mess up the beautiful cloth diapers by not cleaning them right and then they will stink. When I first got a few diapers, I didn't even start to use them, even though my daughter is allergic to disposables, I freaked out. What do I do?

So, what did I do, I went searching the internet? Isn't that what most mom's do? I had heard other moms from the mommies group that I belong to talk about this product called Country Save and how much they love it, but I was unsure of myself. I emailed Country Save and explained my story of how allergic my daughter is to disposables and to a lot of clothing and detergents and Kris from Country Save was so wonderful to assist me and tell me what to do and that he would send me some samples to try it and see how it worked for my daughter and us. Also what Kris did was tell me what I needed to do and that was something that as a new cloth diapering mommy needed.

Kris sent the samples immediately and I received them within two days. I was so excited to receive them and try them with my diapers because I had done the Free and Clear detergent and I didn't really like the way they came out. I put 6 diapers in the wash with half of the sample pack in my front loader and washed them the way they needed to be washed. I felt like I waited forever for them to be done and I couldn't wait to get them out.

Finally, they were done and I pulled them out and not only were they really clean, but they left a nice fresh scent that I was uber excited about. I threw them in the dryer and when I pulled them out, I was still overly impressed with the great scent they left. Lastly I noticed when DD used the bathroom in the diapers, they didn't have a bad smell. This left a great impression for me, because the free and clear detergent didn't do this.

So, I did a few more loads with the diapers and still impressed. I had a diaper and an insert that had a little bit of a stain in it, so I thought hey let me see if I can get this stain out.  I took about 2 tablespoons of Country Save powder and put it in a pot of hot water on the stove and put the dipe and insert in the water and boiled it on Medium heat for about half hour.  Then I laundered it like you normally would with the powder and yes the stain did come out.  I was super happy to see this. Country Save does have a Stain Removal Guide that you can check out if you have other clothing items that have stains in them that you want to get out. So, last I figured well if Country Save can clean my diapers so well, I should try our personal clothing. My husband had been wearing a white sweatshirt that had a coffee stain on it and coffee is not fun to get out, well I washed it with Country Save, and was pleasantly surprised when the white sweatshirt was a white sweatshirt again with no coffee stain. I was bummed that I didn't take a picture so that I could share with you, but I know you all will trust me when I say that it did get it clean. When you are a mom, clean clothes and diapers are important so this is exactly what Country Save did for us.

The best part of this product is that it is completely biodegradable and it provides a safe, gentle wash without the use of dyes, fragrance, phosphates, enzymes, optical brightners or harsh chemicals, without sacrificing superior cleaning performance. My daugther didn't have any allergic reactions and no bumps all over her body and bum which all the other detergents that we had tried was doing. THIS MOMMY WAS HAPPY. And the Cost Per Wash is a big deal because I know we are all trying to find ways to save money and cut things out we don't need. The fact that you actually get the number of loads in reality compared to what you get with the bigger brands with bigger scoops or liquids that are ALWAYS "over-poured" into the washer means that a delivered price of $26.90 (no WA tax is charged for out of state customers) divided by 80 or more loads in a top loader or 160 loads in a front loader means that even Costco can't beat that Cost Per Wash in a front loader.

Now Mommies, check out Country Save and read about it like I did and if you have questions, Kris is wonderful and will help you in anyway he can.

Head on over and check out Country Save, http://www.countrysave.com/about.php.
Now for the giveaway.

The winner will win a 10 lb Laundry Powder Detergent Box. I want you all to know that I did not do this giveaway because I was getting anything for free, because I didn't, actually I only received sample products. I contacted Kris and needed help and I wanted to let my readers know what a great product I found. And because I found such a great product, I decided to let you all know and Kris wanted to give one of my readers a box.

I would like to win this box of Country Save since I'm new to cloth diapering. I'm building my stash for when my baby gets here and right now I'm using a free and clear. I'm beginning to question if it will work well once the baby is going in the diapers. I didn't think about it until I read it in your review that the diapers may smell after the baby goes. Hmmm...

I would love to win this to test out a different detergent--I have not had the best luck with "green" detergents on my cloth diapers. My daughter always seems to have reactions to them, but I've not yet tried Country Save

I would love to win this because I'm cloth diapering my 6 week old part time now, and full time soon I hope, and I want to take great care of the diapers so they'll last as long as possible.

I learned that the plastic measuring scoop is custom molded using 100% post consumer recycled plastic. This is a nice complement to their eco-friendly packaging.

I learned that Country Save Corp. is a Pacific Northwest company founded in 1977 by Elmer Pearson. Elmer started the company after retiring from the Borden Company. As a bench chemist for years, Elmer was the inventor of the product now known as Elmer's Glue!
