So, I started doing some searching around and found Direct TV. DH used to install these when he was younger, so DirectTV was not foreign to him at all. I guess to me though, it was never something that we had growing up so satelite TV is foreign to me. DH has always liked satelite TV and said I would be very happy with it and they offer a lot of kids channels, which is definitly something that we would be looking for.
After looking into this though, wow they have a great deal of around $1 a day for $29.99 a month and that special would be until 2011. Also for three months you would get one of the xtra packages available. We found that they have several different packages to pick from too.
I think our total savings will be cheaper if we moved from our current service to Direct TV. I think it would be a big savings for us though.

I had Direct TV for years and LOVED it. It was absolutely less expensive than Comcast (out local cable company) and had way more channels. Plus they have Tivo long before the DVR came out. I now have Verizon Fios cable, which is even cheaper and I love it even more than DT, but I definitely recommend DT.
