Katydid Cloth Diapers Review and Giveaway

I recently was given the opportunity to review a cloth diaper that just recently had her diaper newly patented. So new that she just got her cloth diapers on Tuesday the 26th!!  So, for me, I was so physched that I got to be working with someone who had a diaper patented just recently and this is what started her new business of Katydid. "Saving the Earth Just Got Easier"!

WHAT:

Katydid sent me Katydid One Size Reusable Diaper pocket with insert.

LOOK:

Katydid One Size Cloth Diapers are a patented Pocket Design that has waterproof outer later with micro-fleece inner layer and a wrap and snap feature.  The adjustable rise makes this diaper a one size diaper that will fit 8-35 pounds.

This diaper comes with a newborn insert and adjustable insert.  The adjustable insert had a double row snaps to adjust the size you need.  My favorite about this insert is Katydid is sewn in on the insert itselfs, so you don't have a hanging tag and also you can easily pick up this insert and know which diaper it goes into and I like that.




FIT and HOW:

Baby B we placed in setting 2 of the one size because she has chunky legs and the fit was great.  With her being a newborn this diaper has side snaps which helps with the gap at the thighs. 

We also tried this diaper with Sister E, which I didn't have any pictures taken because with her it is so hard she is always on the go so much, I can't get her to sit still for this.  With Sister E I didn't even use the adjustable rise, I had the buttons down and she did great with them as well!  The only different would be is that I used both the adjustable insert and the newborn insert for double protection since she is much more of an wetter than Baby B.

I don't know about everyone else, but for Baby B it seems that everytime I put a NEW diaper on her she has to go poo in them.  It never fails, as soon as I put it on, she has to poo so I have to see how that works out! With Katydid Diapers, no leakage! 

We weren't home and DH forgot the wetbag since we were running out ot the door and thankfully it was with this cloth diaper because we were able to fold it up and snap the tabs to keep the mess in which meant no mess in my purse.  It was small enough to fit in my purse.  I thought this was so cool and was so excited about it  DH even laughed at me that I got excited about this but you know its the little things in life this that get me excited.  Silly, huh?

The only thing that I did find was with the adjustable rise that every once and a while the snaps would come undone without my doing it.  It wouldn't do it when she was moving around or anything, it was more or less when I was messing with the diaper putting it on her, but this didn't cause us any problems, because we LOVED the diaper and liked the way it fit both Sister E and Baby B. Even DH could put the diaper on with ease and if DH can do it, so can yours!!!

TESTED AND APPROVED?

Baby B wore this diaper over to the babysitter's house. I talk to her a few hours into the day because that is something that I do everyday and plus I was wondering if she had gone poo yet.  As a breastfed baby, it could be days sometimes and she decided to blow at the sitters house. Baby B was doing great, and she said the diaper did great actually.  No leaking! Mommy and sitter approved and Baby B and Sister E approved with no issues of the diaper!  YEA!
