Mother-Ease Cloth Diaper Review and Giveaway

I was so excited when I was given the chance to review Mother-Ease Cloth Diapers.  I will have to be honest here...I belong to a local mommies group and someone mentioned MEOS.  Myself being so new to cloth diapers, had no clue what MEOS stood for, so I asked. Many people rave over this diaper, so when I was given the opportunity to review this diaper, I couldn't wait to receive it. I was sent a one size diaper with snap-in liner and a Medium Air Flow Cover.

The one size cloth diaper is made of terry cloth and grows with your baby. This is a two step diaper system that includes a cloth diaper and a separate cover.  The snap in liner can be used for those that are heavy wetters or for overnight.  The Air Flow Snap Cover is leak free that is breathable which is great for babies on the move I found.

Since the cloth diaper was a one size, I decided to try it with both girls and the air flow cover was a medium.  The one size diaper fit perfectly on both girls with no problem and the cover was quite big on Baby B and fit perfectly on Sister E.  Even though the cover was a bit big on Baby B, it still worked well with no leaks.

Its funny I just have to tell you all this, but Sister E loves to be my little tester.  She will say, "Take picture Mommy, take picture!"   Anyway, the diaper fit her perfectly and she was able to walk around with ease and comfort.  She wore this both at night and on car rides and arond the house, and we didn't have any leakage and she remained comfortable.  We did use the snap-liner for Sister E but that is only because she is a heavy wetter. I love this cover though because I have been able to use this cover with other fitted diapers and was very happy with how it worked out.  Also I could use it a couple of times unless it got soiled before I had to wash it.  I didn't take any pictures of Baby B in the diaper because everytime she was in the ME I could never seem the camera.  Isn't that how it always works out? Mommy tested this diaper and mommy approves.

The one size diaper, snap-in liner, and air flow cover is available for purchase at $21.95. Mother-Ease is a company that has been manufactoring leak-free cloth diapering systems since 1991.

I learned that The air flow Snap Cover, with adjustable snaps at the waist and leg openings has an air ventilation system between the snaps. This allows for maximum air circulation as baby moves, reducing the risk of bacteria by keeping the temperature inside the diaper down.

Everytime I hear the disposable vs. cloth debate it always includes water. At Mother-Ease they give the stat that single use disposables use 37% more water than cloth diapering. Yet another reason!

I did not realize that the diapers are manufactured in Canada. It is also really awesome that they have been making diapers for nearly 20 years.

Jennifer said...

I learned that it takes 440-880 lbs. of fluff pulp and 286 lbs. of plastic (including packaging) per year to supply a single baby with disposables. That's a lot!
