Fluff Mom Mondays

Family of the Cloth I follow Family Of the Cloth and got this from there.

Tell us about yourself! What is your name? How many little ones do you have? How long have you used cloth diapers?

My name is Shannon and I'm a mommy to three girls.  Big Sister J is 8 year old, Sister E is 2.5 and Baby B is 19 weeks.  Wow they grow so fast.  Its a little sad.  Anyways, I have only been using cloth diapers for 10 weeks now.

What made you decide to use cloth diapers?
Honestly I really don't think I would have ever used cloth diapers, but I decided to move that way when my 3rd daughter was born and was oozing blood from the disposables diapers.  And we are not using them on her full time.  Sister E wears cloth at night, but is in panties, trainers during the day.

What was the first cloth diaper you bought?
I bought used from another Mommy @ Richmond Mommies and it was a few different ones.

Tell us about your cloth diaper stash:
Stash??? Wow, this one is a hard one to answer because I have a lot of onesies of different ones since I am reviewing diapers.

What is your favorite cloth diaper? Why?
I seriously can't say that I have a favorite one as of yet.  I am still in search of that perfect diaper.  But I will say there are so many great diapers out there that are great!!

Tell us about your wash routine:
I normally wash every other day!  And some days depending on if the diaper pail is full or not will I wash everyday.  I have always wanted to try Thirsties Wash, but have not.  Rockin Green has some great stuff...I can't use the regular stuff on Baby B, but their New Soft Rock that I just recently tried, works great and we don't have any issues on Baby B's bum!

Have your friends and family been supportive of your decision?
No one seems either way about it.  I haven't really been around DH's family from Massachussetts with the cloth diapers yet, but I can't see why they wouldn't be.

Any challenges with using cloth diapers? What did you do about it?
I think my biggest challenge has just been what to wash them with and what to do with the stink in the dipes (and they are only certain ones not all of them that do it, and this just recently started).

Your best piece of advice for someone new to cloth diapering
Just keep trying different things until you find what works for you. Don't give up! I totally agree with what the Family of the Cloth said.

Your favorite scripture, quote, or anything else that you'd like to add?
"Dance like no one is watching. Sing like no one is listening. Love like you've never been hurt and live like it's heaven on Earth."
