Should I switch to WordPress or something else?

So, as you all can see with all my talk about my blog and making it look better, there are just somethings out there that seem better to use over others.

I value my followers and honestly I really don't want to lose them, but DH and I have thought about even getting my own domain?  But what does that mean for me?  What does that mean for you?

Help me as I work through this??

You can get your own domain through google without messing anything up at all. People can still find your blog when searching the blogspot address after you've switched to a .com.

I am agonizing over switching to wordpress or squarespace. Wordpress is free (I already own my domain) but I can't make heads or tails out of it. My programming dad and sister would be embarrassed to claim me. Squarespace looks AWESOME but it's $14 a month at a minimum for what I'd need. Ah the joys!

I've had this same dilemma! Wordpress is really cool, but it seems like to really get to personalize it you have to pay for things and host your own site. WAY to confusing for me! Blogger is simple, and it's free to do whatever you want!
