Yesterday as you all know, I went to visit my grandfather who was in the hospital. He was in ICU and was alert and responsive but was in pain and was having a hard time breathing. He didn't talk much, but he said a few things. I showed him pictures of the girls on my phone since their policy was they could not come in...he was happy that I came.
As I sit here and write this, I will tell you, its hard to think I was just with him yesterday while they fed him chocolate ice cream and he was able to eat it (its his favorite) and he is gone today! I was at work and got a phone call that they didn't think Papa was going to make it much longer. About an hour later, I receive a text that my papa passed away. I left work to be with the family and support them. I brought Baby B with me, which was a blessing because it really helped brightened the family!
So, I let you all know this because if I am distant this week, I apologize.

so sorry for your loss! You'll be in my thoughts and prayers! I've been there and I know how hard it can be. Babies definitely help! My husbands best friend just passed away last month in a car accident while on duty (he was a police officer) and having our 2 month old with us was SOOO much help and comfort for us and the family. <3

So sorry for your loss. You are right - when my dad was in the hospital having DD around seemed to brighten everyone's day. And now that my dad is no longer with me, she continues to brighten my days.
