Well not long after we found out we were pregnant, and in all seriousness we could have been using this carseat for my daughter who is going to be 3 on Sunday.
When we were given the opportunity to review one of these carseats I was all over it. I was asked if I wanted to review the Air Infant Carseat or the Complete Air Protect Convertible Carseat. I immediuately asked my husband what he thought. we chose the Convertible Carseat, mainly because we could use this one also as a rear facing carseat.
I was so excited when I came home and it was sitting on my front porch. I was so excited, that I tore it out of the box and immediately started to investigate it and look at it and then took the convertible carseat we had in my car and replaced it with this one.
Let me give you some info about the carseat:
Air Protect™ Technology is the most innovative safety feature ever offered in a car seat. It is a technology that protects our children at their most vulnerable – the head.
Through the precise release of air, Air Protect™ shields children from side impact intrusion and immediately reduces crash forces at the most critical spot: around a child’s head. Air Protect™ does this by extending ride-down, the amount of time it takes to slow a child’s movement in a crash.
The carseat was very easy to install and certainly very sturdy. Actually it was quite impressive. The first thing I noticed was many of the convertible carseats feel like they don't have much of a backing and I always wondered how it was even comfortable for your children to sit there long enough. But this carseat, it was comfortable, Sister E even sat in it before I took it out to the car and was impressed with it.
Here are some facts:
- The Complete Air car seat has Air Protect side impact technology cushions
- Complete Air can be used for infants 5 to 40 pounds/19-40 inches {Rear Facing}. {Front-facing} it can be used by Infants and Toddlers that are 22-50 pounds/ 34-45 inches.
- Complete Air is available in two color choices Mckenna or Harvest
- Revolutionary Side Impact Technology-The Complete Air revolutionary side impact protection drastically reduces side impact crash forces to the head
- The Complete Air Car Seat is the 2nd model in the United States with a rear facing 40 lb. weight limit.
I have three children, and I drive a car (no I don't drive a van, I'm not there yet...don't think I will be for a while. We want a 4th child, but no time soon, but I'm not ready for that van. Nope, not me.) So, I have the convertible carseat to one side of the carseat, then an infant carseat in the middle and then I have my oldest on the other side. I must tell you, there is no problem with the three girls fitting in the back seat and there is enough room. I love the carseat for the simple ease of it. My car however, makes it hard with not having the bars underneath the seat to install, but it is still easy. Now my mom has taken my daughter and used the carseat in her car and her cars has the bars and I can't tell you how fast I can install this carseat in her car and how it is securely in the car. I was just so impressed. It also is very easy to remove. I LOVE IT. I really can't tell you how much I love it.
While I do not use this for my infant yet, I am using it for my almost 3 year old and we are OVERLY IMPRESSED. WE LOVE IT, and you will too!
You want one now? Do you have one? Do you need another one?

On the video I learned that 1 in 3 crashes involving a child are side impact crashes. This scares me! Even if I don't win the giveaway we might seriously consider buying this carseat.

I love this carseat it is amazing… I dont know why it isnt mandatory that all carseats are like this. My husband and I watched the video and we liked the demo showing the difference between the regular carseat and the air protect. I didnt know that most accidents were side impact. We are going to get one no matter what!

I went back and watched the video and such, but I want to see it in use with an infant. Seems like the airflow thing would be too high for their little head. Can't wait till you get to use it on little baby. Maybe you can update us once you do?! I like how they explained how the air works. It is so true side impacts scare me! That is why I insisted we got a Jeep they have sturdy frames.

I watched the video and really appreciated the explanation of the airflow feature. I get teary, almost, thinking about side impact collisions. I think they are scary and it can happen to anyone. I am looking forward to seeing pics of it with a infant. Please update once you use it for your baby.
