Little Smudgeez Cloth Diapers Review and Giveaway Ends 4/15

  

So, if you remember I was looking for that cute little Easter cloth diaper and couldn't find one.  Well, the closet I could find to something that was eastery and we loved was a cute little AIO from Little Smudgeez.

Little Smudgeez sent me their AIO (All In One) Cloth Diaper in Periwinkle to review.  When we received the diaper, I was so excited and immediately washed the diaper.  I was sent some great paperwork on how to wash the diaper, about the diaper and everything you can think of.

Little Smudgeez does tell you that the AIO takes a lot longer to dry than other cloth diapers, so if you are pretty serious about your AIO's, you must check out Little Smudgeez.

All in One means that there is no pocket so there is no stuffing inserts involved.  But normally an All in One takes longer to dry because an insert in sewn in to make it all in one. The paperwork that Little Smudgeez sent explained that their AIO's do take longer to dry and to turn them inside out and snapping them like you would on your child. The first time we washed this diaper, it washed great, again with drying it, it took 2 loads over one to be dried thoroughly.  I didn't always stick in the dryer for the second load, sometimes after the first wash and first dry cycle if it isn't done, then I would lay it out where little ones couldn't reach it and let it air dry.

Baby B is such a doll and even more so in her Little Smudgeez cloth diapers.  There is such an amazing fit with this diaper and it has the fit in the legs.  This I worried about which I do with all diapers because I want to make sure that we will not have any leaks.  However there was an exact fit because there was no gaps with the legs and my second child, Sister E was smiling from ear to ear because she loves the purple color with anything, so this Pewinkle is almost purple and she adored it. "Mommy, Baby B is wearing purple, my favorite color!"  Look at the photo and you will see why we found this as our Easter Cloth Diaper.  Cute right?

We never had any luck at night time with most All in One's though so the very first time I tried this, I tried this for about a 3 hours stretch during the day to see how it would handle the test.  Baby B didn't have any marks on her legs from the diaper and it was just super cute on her.  She posed for Easter as you can see above.  This diaper has two waist snaps with which are side by side compared to most. No leaking during the 3 hour period.  So, we passed this test.

So, after washing again hoping it would get more absorbent with more washing, we decided to try for at night time and see how the diaper held up. I woke up 5 hours into her sleep and checked underneath her and around her, but there was nothing.  This is such a positive result.   I couldn't dare wake her, so I let her sleep another 3 hours, so a total of about 8 hours.  After 8 hours, the bed was still dry and she was was dry to touch but the diaper was soaked!  Wow for us the first AIO we tried at night time that worked for us and that worked.  I couldn't believe it, because I have not had any luck with AIO's at night.

Overall this was such a wonderful diaper and super easy to use on you first time mommas learning to cloth diaper since you don't have to do anything special and don't need inserts.  I think to me the biggest issue is the drying time, however before testing it and getting it, I knew this so I think that that is really not a problem to me.
