Nipple Nurture Balm Review and Giveaway

Remember a while back I was complaining of severe pain and that my breasts were cracked and bleeding and just plain hurting.  Sarah from Fairhaven Health sent me some Nipple Nurture Balm to review.

I went looking into a lot of products and was looking for products that were without harsh additives and preservatives.  Most of all, I was looking for something that was organic and safe for myself and my baby.  I found Nipple Nuture Balm and this was the only thing that I could find that I partically even cared for.  It was designed to soothe, protect,  heal sores and/or cracked nipples.

As soon as I received it, because I was in so much pain, I immediately opened this bad boy up. I expected this to be much thicker like most other stuff is and when I stuck my finger in to get some, my finger went to the bottom.  It was soft and I really liked this because when putting it on my cracked nipples I didn't have to rub it in as much.  So, I didn't feel as much pain.  I could place this on before breastfeeding or after breastfeeding and it was safe for Baby B.  But in my case, I put this in my breastpump bag and whenever it is time to pump, I put this on my nipples.

Within two days, my nipples were healed and I was a happy Momma again and no longer crying in pain when it was time to feed and pump.  I still continue to use this at least once a day because it contains ingredients that has natural moisturizers

Fairhaven Health also has other products that they support in fertility, pregnancy and nursing.   I did notice that they have Dreambelly Stretch Mark Cream which I know many of us would appreciate being pregnant and worry about getting stretch marks.   Check out all the great products that they have for nursing and pregnancy.

COST:  The Nipple Nurture Balm is $11.95 and definitely worth it when you need help with your nipples and generally is a 1 month supply.  You know you want some and it is great product to have when you are pregnant and getting prepared for your baby arriving when you are breastfeeding.

Bella Materna Nursing Bra ($68.00) Review and Giveaway

#breastfeeding,bras,couponmommyof2now3

Breastfeeding and bras have never gone hand and hand with me.  I have never ever been happy with the bras that I have had when breastfeeding and I felt with my third one it was about time to have a bra that fit and felt good to wear.

Bella Materna is a shop specialized in luxurious nursing bras and maternity lingerie.  So, you mean I can look like a hot mess and be pregnant and/or just had a baby.  Well then if I can, then I am all about it.  WOO HOO.

#breastfeeding,bras,couponmommyof2now3#breastfeeding,bras,couponmommyof2now3
I was sent a Lightly Padded Nursing Bras with underwire in the color black and in size 36D.  Well I put this bra on immediately because I had never ordered a bra online so I was a little nervous that it wouldn't fit and as soon as I put it on, I fell in love.  Seriously ladies, I fell in love.  My boobs no longer were all over the place, and my ladies were finally sitting nice and pretty.  Yea I said it, they are sitting nice and pretty and no longer hanging. For once I felt like my boobs looked sexy again!  WOAH! It fit perfect.

Another plus to this padded bra is that it is padded. This for me is a must because a lot of the times it looks like my headlights are on high beams or as I have heard before, "It is quite nipply out!" Haha.  I seem to have this issue worse when I am breastfeeding, so most nursing bras that I have ever worn before I have always had to wear a nursing pad so that this doesn't happen.  Guess what?   Not with this hot bra.  I LOVE IT!!

Not only does this shop have sexy bras, but they also have pretty sexy nursing gowns.  What a sexy nursing gown?  Who has ever heard of such!  Well, Bella Materna has and they want all us mama's to feel good about ourselves.

bella materna,coupon mommy of 2,thongs

And all you ladies out there who like to wear thongs...yep thongs.  Who would have ever thought that being pregnant and wearing thongs would go together?  I didn't.  But at Bella Materna you can wear thongs while being pregnant and/or while nursing and look hot while doing so.

Now after seeing all this HOT stuff from Bella Materna, you want to buy some because you are pregnant or nursing and want to look HOT too, right.  So, go ahead...head on over to Bella Materna online.

GIVEAWAY:
Bella Materna would like to offer one of my readers a padded bra in the color of their preference and size.

Cottony Soft Nightgown from Expressiva Nursingwear Review and Giveaway

Nursing my third daughter, I have never had any nightwear clothes that are comfortable to wear to bed besides a t-shirt that I can just pull up and breastfeed my daughter. And at that, with any of my girls while breastfeeding did I have anything, it has always just been a t-shirt.

Espressiva Nursingwear sent me this Cottony Soft Nightgown to review. Thank you!

Call me crazy, but sometimes breastfeeding isn't always comfortable anyway when you are engorged, cracked nippes, mistisis and the list can go on.  Breastfeeding is something special between you and your child and you really want to be as comfortable as possible to enjoy that special bond.  So when I got this nightgown I was so excited because I just wanted to have something that was comfortable to wear at night and not to wake up in the middle of the night with my boobies hanging out, which yes this happens quite often.

This gown:
•Simplify night feedings that provides easy-access for breastfeeding
•Soft, rich 100% cotton is garment washed for extra softness and to reduce shrinkage
•Purchase before delivery to pack in your hospital bag
•Cut generously to fit during pregnancy, post-partum and beyond
•Above-the-knee length
•Two generous nursing openings are hidden beneath each side of the center inverted pleat
•100% cotton
•Machine wash and dry

I loved that I never had to lift up all of my clothing in order to get to the boob, all I had to do was push the opening aside and Baby B could easily eat.  The gown didn't get in her face and at night I didn't have to worry about the gown sufficating her.  Now I wish I would have had this when I was in the hospital because it would have been so much easier after the baby was born.

This gown washes great and the best thing I have noticed is that it doesn't shrink which a lot of 100% cotton products shrink.  I have washed and dried this gown several times and it still fits like it did when I received it.

COST:
You like this gown? You know you want one...well you can buy it from Expressiva for $29.99 right now.

Medela Sleep Bra Review

medela,couponmommyof2now3
I recently was given the oppurtunity to review The Medela Sleep Bra as shown above Provided by Medela.  Sorry no personal photos to be shown here.   LOL

Here are a few Features and Benefits about the sleep bra.
  • Luxurious combed cotton and no-tag deisgn ensure comfort against your skin.
  • Keeps nursing pads in place to avoid leaks.
  • Draback design for convenient nursing.
As a mom who is nursing and has nursed all of her kids when you are breastfeeding, you just want to be comfortable and make sure that you are not using or doing anything that will put your milk in "danger" of not producing enough.  Also with both of my other girls, I never realized that they had anything like a sleep bra, so I had no clue.  I just wanted to be comfortable and not have any plugged ducts or get mastisis.  Which I have heard that some bras can do this.

This bra is a pullover style with a racerback style which fits nice and snug.  I am a 36D and was sent a Medium and it was comfortable and didn't feel too tight.  The color is nude, which I liked and it very thin.  I feared that it would easily snag or tear however, not at all!  It was easy to just draback on my side (like I do at night when feeding Baby B) and she could eat.

It was also great to wear out of the house, however for me I would wear nursing pads only because haha...when I get cold you would know it.  So, that to me is not something I wanted to show the world.  The great thing about wearing the nursing pads though is knowing that they fit and did not slip out and fit great.  I was happy with that.  This bra was tagless and I easily get irritated with tags in certain areas and especially at night time, so NO TAGS was nice.

I didn't have any issues with this bra at all, actually I was overall super pleased with its looks, with its fit, with its ease and for a breastfeeding mama to another, you will love this.  And by the way Baby B got her milk and honestly as long as this happens, we are good.  :)

Washing this bra, I just washed with my other white clothing, I didn't worry about gentle wash or anything like that.  However since the fabric was so thin, I didn't put it in the dryer but it did dry quickly.  Plus I worried that it might shrink and wouldn't fit me anymore.  It washes great and still looks brand new and I wear this every night.

I did search around for the prices of these Medela Sleep Bras and overall the cost seems to be in the price range of $20.  And Mama's who love to shop at Target, I see that Target even carries these.  This is a great price when you want to be comfortable.  And while I like to use coupons and try to be frugal I will pay whatever I have to pay for the safety of not losing any milk.  I think all you mama's would love this product.

OUCH....HELP

Sorry this is a blunt post, but I wanted to post what I am going through right now. I don’t feel a Wordless Wednesday at the moment.  So, FYI, be prepared I am blunt in this post!!

Wow, I never thought I would have to say this, but seriously OUCH. I breastfed my two oldest daughters and really didn’t have any issues with either of them. Never had cracked nipples, never had thrush, never had what I hear a lot of other momma’s have had, so I considered myself lucky! I was able to breastfeed my first for 9 months and my second for 14 months. So I really consider myself to be a very lucky momma.

Seriously though, my last pregnancy with my third was different than them all, the delivery was different and many other aspects after have been different too. I do know though all pregnancies will never be the same so therefore childbirth and your children are never the same. So, a lot of things are a whole new world for me, where I almost feel like a first time momma. Seems kind of crazy, but it is true. Breastfeeding Baby B as with my others is amazing and I love the closeness and the bond that grows between the mother and child, but I have been in some major pain.

Two weeks ago, my right breast was cracked and bleeding and the pain was just sore and just a little painful to touch but that has now healed as of early this week and I now have it on the left side. THIS is super painful! It is cracked pretty badly and hurts to even wear my bra or to even feed. I squeal in pain (behind the scenes, don’t want anyone to see this) and it bleeds horribly when pumping at work. I have had to place a piece of napkin on the cut just to pump so that I don’t get blood in the milk. I have turned down the level on the pump, but in all seriousness I have pain so bad, I just want to cry and nothing seems to be helping. I mean just a little bit ago, I was complaining in a funny way that I was lopsided because one breast was bigger than the other, I can deal with that and I thought it was funny, cause I still am lopsided. The joys of breastfeeding and being a mommy… but I can’t believe how much pain I am in.

Did anyone else deal with this and what did you do? HELP a Mommy out.
