Family Medical Emergency

I'm not sure who all follows my facebook and who follows here, I wanted to give you all an update on my my absense and this will be short but sweet.  If you are my fan on facebook and read my status update, you all will notice an absense, because we are currently dealing with a Family Medical Emergency.  I'm updating my blog, because I want to reach out to all of my followers, my fans and even my sponsors who are waiting for reviews and/or giveaways from me.

I don't have time to answer emails at this point, in all honesty our 3 year daughter is our primary focus right now and doing what I need to do to keep up with work!  At this point, I'm not sure if I am ready to share what we are going through except for that we are going through a Family Medical Emergency and currently in the hospital with my daughter.  I'm overwelmed, I'm lost, I've cried so much, I'm confused, I'm a mommy, I miss my other girls!  I am many things that the past few days really fall into a blur!

I will be out of touch from the blogging world and facebook world for sometime to gain some focus on my daughter and my other girls and to get my 3 year old healthy again! While I know I have some sponsors out there that are waiting for some reviews from me...at this point my family is more important to me and I believe that many of  you understand that and I will thank you for that!  I hope that at one point I can update and things like that, but I'm not ready for that!

Family and friends have come from far away and close and it has been a major blessing!  I know that it is what family is all about, but it amazes me to know they are there for us and so many would do anything we need at any time.

Please accept my apology for the delay and PLEASE IF YOU CAN DO ANYTHING FOR US, Please PRAY FOR MY DAUGHTER AND MY FAMILY.  We really need that right now!

Thank you!

I'm Behind... Accept My Apology

I am sorry to be very behind, however life has been rather crazy for us here as of late.

Let me fill you in...
Baby B has been sick for the last three weeks however it just got worse. Wednesday I took her to the doctor and she was diagnosed with strep.  So, they put her on stronger antibiotics because she was already on antibiotics which were not working.  Thursday night Sister E woke up at 2AM and threw up!  I still took let her go to school because she seemed fine, no fever or anything.  She didn't eat breakfast though. I called the doctors office that morning and said it seemed that Sister E was also getting strep, could we get an antibioic to go ahead and kick it So they called it in for me. I left work about 230PM to get Sister E from school and then get her meds and then pack up the camper.  But why is it whenever you are early or leave early, nothing ever pans out the way you want it to.  NOTHING!

On my way to get Sister E, I get a call from the sitter that Baby B just threw up all over the place.  Seriously!!  WTH.  So at this point, I just decided to get them both and go back to the doctors. Come to find out Baby B hadn't even started to get better with the meds, so they gave her the antibiotic shot and Sister E also had strep throat along with a UTI. Needless to say I didn't leave the doctors office until 5pm, had to get her meds and then go and get Big Sister J from the sitters.

We head off to camping, which I will be doing a review.  The kids had up and down moments, but more of the down moments.  A lot of potty trips, throwing up, messy dipes and some seriously lethargic girls. Thankfully Big Sister J didn't get it, I thought at point she was getting sick because she said her stomach was upset, but.  Appears ok.

The ride home Sunday should have only taken 2.5 hours, it ended up taking us 6 hours to get home!  Potty breaks, cleaning up messy diapers, cleaning up throwing up.  Oh it was horrible.

I ended up staying home Monday to stay with the girls whom spent most of the day in the bathroom.  I took them back to the doctor and they also have the stomach virus.  WHAT?  Come on now.  Do you want to add anything else to that for them.  Seriously give these babies a break because not only do they have the stomach virus, the antibiotics don't help the messed up tummy!

Tuesday I took the girls to their normal places in hopes to make it through the day. We made it through the day, but I did get a call from the sitter that Baby B threw up all over the place.  COME ON!

So, to say the least, I am behind and I recognize that, I have winners to annouce and giveaways to promote on facebook and reviews & giveaways to post, I will get them.  However, Mommy is first right now to her babies.

Please accept my apology!  I will get them soon and hopefully I will get them tonight.

Anyone else going through this?

Fingernail Polish

So last night, Sister E was getting restless waiting for DH to come home from work, so I just thought hey how about I paint her toenails and fingernails.  She is 3 years old and wow I'm a bad mom, but it was the very first time we had ever done this.  She was ecstatic, she was so so excited and do you know that she actually sat still!  That is right, she sat there and didn't move so that I could do it.

As I was painting her toe nails she giggled with excitement and was just so giddy!  It was so cute. When I was done with her left foot and went to her right foot, she just sat there and let me do it.  When I finished her right foot, she said my fingernails mommy, my fingernails.  So, we painted her fingernails.  She then sat through and did that, and when we were done she sat there for 5 minutes to let them dry.  Yes, she really did.  I too was shocked, but she was just so excited.  She even sat and watched me paint my toenails.  It was crazy!

I also braided her hair, which I normally don't do, but she has naturally curly hair and she always has knots galore in the morning.  So, I put her hair in a braid and thought in the AM that would help.

As soon as DH got home last night
Sister E: Daddy look at my hands and my feet.
DH: PRETTY
Sister E: Mommy did it.  Look at my hair.

Sister E was just so excited!  This morning DH was getting her ready for school and went to put her socks and shoes on.  "No daddy I want to wear my flip flops so I can show all my friends my toes that mommy did." That didn't go over well, can't wear those kind of shoes to school.  DH went to take the braid out of her hair and put her hair up, "No daddy, mommy fixed my hair last night!"  It was so cute when DH told me, but I can imagine it wasn't fun to deal with!  You know 3 years, they want what they want when they want it. :)

She Tried, She Really Tried

Last night Big Sister J stayed with Nanny for the night.  Nanny brought her home earlier tonight and Sister E said to Nanny, " I wanna go with you Nanny!"  So, we go ther some night clothes and some clothes to wear tomorrow and the binky!  I put her carseat in my mom's car and Sister E was ready to go.

Little background here, the last time Sister E stayed with my mom was back in August and September when I was on bedrest and in the hospital with Baby B!  She was not happy and just wanted to be with her family!  Thankfully back then there wasn't the rules of children coming into the hospital because we just ended up having her stay at the hospital because she couldn't handle being away!

So, back to the story!  I kept checking with my mom to see how Sister E was doing and she was doing great.  She was having a blast and playing and laughing.  At 930PM both hubs and I were playing the Wii together and saying well I think she is going to make it for the night.  She talked to us and said she loved us and it seemed like it was going well!

(Please don't let us fool you, it was hard on us all, even Big Sister J seemed lost without Sister E there!)

I fell asleep (you know being up last night) while playing the game and my phone rang.  I jumped because I am on call so at first I thought it was my work phone, but I quickly realized it wasn't.  I looked and it was my mom!

My mom said "Sister E wants you, can you meet half way?"

Hubs went to get her and he is on his way back now with Sister E.

She tried and I think that is great.  It was hard on us all, she is such a family girl.  She likes to be with her mom, dad and the rest of us.  When Big Sister J is at her dad's she has a hard time and wants her back, Sister E is just like that.

I just am glad that she tried to go and tried to stay.  She did better than we thought she would though.  Do your kids do this?

Milestone: No More Posies

So, I have to share this major milestone that Sister E has met...

No more disposable diapers!!  Woo Hoo.  Last night was the 4 night she went all night with no mistakes in her panties.  Honestly though, she had been wearing disposables prior to this at night and for 2 weeks hadn't made a mistake.  So, we are very happy for her.  Oh it is so nice because this now means we don't have to buy disposables at all anymore because Baby B is in cloth diapers!!  If she thinks you are trying to put a diaper on her, she will get upset and say, "No my panties!"  She just loves to wear her Conscious Children's Clothes (gaiababy) panties !!

She tells everyone I am a big girl now, except for the binky that we need to get rid of soon too!  But hey one thing at a time.
