BumEssentials Review and Giveaway Ends 07/11

Anything that says the word "BUM", I am always looking.  Why you might ask?  Well my daughter having a major allergic reaction to disposable diapers, cloth is something that is very important to us. With that said, when I saw Bum Essentials, I immediately had to look at these and figure out what they were.  Guess what, they were cloth diapers to my liking and was so excited to check these out.

I was sent the Bumbino Diaper Giddy Up Green which included the "classic" bum pad and the Terry Towel Bum Pad as well as a Bum Bag-Sunshine Yellow/Giddy Up Green. This is a neat diaper with a neat concept, using the other shell more than once unless it is soiled.

Before I wash my cloth diapers, I always like to try them on Baby B just to see how the fit is going to be and see how I really feel about them on and off and what I think of them. Overall, I was impressed. The fit was great, so we washed them like the directions state in Caring for your New Diaper and then immediately got to seeing how the diaper worked for Baby B.

We decided to try the "Classic" bum pad first which is: made from an organic bamboo and cotton blend. Against your baby’s skin is a super soft extra absorbent pad that easily snaps into a Bum Essentials diaper shell. The bamboo material is naturally antibacterial, extra soft and very absorbent.  Like it states, it snaps into the diaper shell very easily and just push into the diaper which is what we did.  I love using organic products and they are probably best for my daughter's allergic skin, but I'm not sure if it was the organic bamboo and cotton blend, but we tried using this "classic" bum pad and after she would urinate, the pad was very hard and seemed to rub up against Baby B's skin leaving her red.  I washed it several times thinking it was me, but couldn't seem to figure that one out.  So we tried the terry cloth bum pad next with the same outer diaper shell, which I really liked that idea. The terry cloth is made from an organic bamboo, cotton and polyester(adds strength and flexibility). Against your baby’s skin is a luxurious, silky smooth, super absorbent pad.  We just easily took out the previous bum pad and replaced it with a new bum pad.  This one was so soft and I loved the way it felt against my skin.

These diapers are great that they are not bulky and fits Baby B perfectly that she can wear them without a problem.  The snaps for the one size are perfect and give you several different chances to make sure that the diaper fits your child the way you want them to be fitted.  We also know that with this diaper she will not incur any leaking around the legs and around the tummy or back area, which is a blessing because we have quite a few diapers that do this after a bit of time.

I also love the Bum Essentials Bum Bag for one of the simple facts that you can turn it inside out and use either color, which is so color.  What is the flavor of your mood today?  It will hold anywhere between 3-5 cloth diapers per what the site states, howevver we use this so often, that I have been able to fit between 3-7 cloth diapers in the bag.  I love the drawstring and its being able to hold the smells in.  LOVE IT.

There are four colors to chose from, Rockin Red, Bumble Blue, Giddy Up Green, Sunshine Yellow. As a mommy of all girls, I would love to see a few more girly colors, like pinks and purples but also like the colors that she currently has. This is a early friendly diaper that all momma's are going to want to try if you haven't already.  I'm in love with the easy set in snap and happy with how it works for Baby B.
