Day 5 of Cloth Diaper Week, Part 2: Tiny Tush from The Diaper Wagon Review and Giveaway Ends 8/24 (CLOSED)

So, I think I told you guys before Baby B and mama, are a one size kind of a family and we like the one sizes. We always hear mixed thoughts on the one sizes, but for us we prefer them. But this family is also all about "FREE SHIPPING", why do you ask? Well because when you have to pay for shipping with your products you end up paying more than you really wanted to and then you wished you could have just bought it from the store so you didn't pay as much. Ok, well at least that is my thought!

The Diaper Wagon is one of those shops that have free shipping all the time. Yes, that is correct all the time, it is not a special, it is their speciality and that is one of the reasons that I really like this shop. They sent me one of their One Size diapers to review, the Tiny Tush Elite One Size Pocket in Aplix for Baby B to try on her bum.

The Tiny Tush is a super trim diaper that is waterproof PUL for the outer and the inner layer is a non piling polyester micro-fleece which keeps your diaper looking new all the time. These diapers have a pocket, but they are on the reverse side which makes the inserts easy to insert. And you know what I realized with the fact that the pocket is on the reverse side that when Baby B poos it doesn't get in the pocket. Thank goodness, because sometimes when that happens, it is just GROSS.

The Tiny Tush fits babies from 7-35 lbs and what I really liked about this diaper is that the rise adjustment doesn't have just 2 or 3 settings, it actually has 4 settings. We like that because it gives us the ability to adjust it even more to the way of our liking. Baby B has been on the 3rd setting for a while now. The snaps are very sturdy and don't pop off when putting the diaper on.

I am really sorry I don't have any pictures of Baby B in her diaper, but the camera decided to take a nose dive and I can't figure out whats wrong with it. This is only our 2nd diaper that we have that is in the color red and I like to call her "Hot Bum". Don't know why, but I do.

Some of the other products that they have that really caught my eye, is her Twee Baby Wool Longies. These are adorable that look so soft. We only had one pair of Wool Longies and they don't fit her anymore. Boo. That was the only wool we have ever owned and I will be the first to say, I didn't think we would like Wool because I thought it would be itchy and annoying to the skin. That is not the case at all! We really liked them and they were perfect for night time.

Cotton Prints and you don't need covers, WHAT? Did Coupon Mommy really just say that? Well thats right, Urban Fluff iCandy solved covering up those beautiful prints you have. Why cover up those prints that you wanted so bad to see on your baby's bum?

The iCandy Diapering System is an innovative 3-part system. Simply snap a waterproof liner into your iCandy Wrapper, lay soaker inside the liner, and go! When your baby is wet remove the soaker and replace with a fresh one. You can wipe the PUL liner clean. If the liner is soiled you can snap out the liner and soaker together and replace with clean ones. You'll almost never have to change your iCandy liner!

Baby B received The iCandy Diapering System in Monkey N Round Pink one of the cutest prints, I have to admit. I love monkeys, and now that Baby B is older I call her a monkey because she climbs on anything and everything! So, it worked for her.

The iCandy system is a 3 part diapering system that comes with the wrapper, the liner and soaker. You just snap the liner inside the wrapper, place the soaker in the liner and you are ready to go. One you baby using the bathroom, you just take the liner and soaker out and replace it with a new one. Serioulsy? Yes, seriously...that is all you have to do.

We never once had a issue with this diaper leaking and it seems crazy to think that because the wrapper is made of cotton. Yes, cotton, that is right mama's. No, leaks because you have the liner and soaker that catches everything.

These diapers come in two sizes either infant or toddler sizes,

Infant:

Thigh: 4"-9"

Waist: 11"-17"

Rise: 10"-13"

Approx. Weight Range: birth-20lbs

Toddler:

Thigh: 6"-11"

Waist: 12"-21"

Rise: 12.5"-16.5"

Approx. Weight Range: 15-35lbs

So, you will only have to go through 2 sizes instead of 3.

A little background on Maxwell Designs:

My partner, Steve (who is the most supportive man I could wish for) and I live in Terrace, British Columbia with our two sons, Maxwell (2 yrs old) and Shia - named after the actor Shia La Beouf (7 mths old). We also have a daughter, Chelsea who is 14 years old. I have been a SAHM for 3 years now. It was quite a change from my busy life before but I truly love it now. My love and passion for my family inspired me to create my own products and create my own line of eco-friendly diaper bags.

Maxwell Designs was created just before my first son, Maxwell was born. I was looking for a diaper bag and didn't see anything I liked or that fit into my lifestyle. I wanted a bag that didn't look like a diaper bag firstly, and secondly that it not made of plastic or vinyl. I also wanted a bag that was totally unique.

I now create a line of hemp bags that are eco-friendly, anti-microbial, dye free, great for our environment and, we believe, the best on the market. All my products are made by hand in Canada. Now that my family is complete it makes designing green baby products even more challenging and fun.

Maxwell Designs makes beautiful wetbags that are of high qaulity designer fabrics with coordinating inner waterproof material and zipper closure. This bag keeps the smells in and the moisture in.
Small: 9.5" X 11" -- fit 2 large prefold diapers and some wipes
Medium: 11.5" X 13"

Day 4 of Cloth Diaper Week: Bummis One Size AIO Review and Giveaway Ends 8/23 (CLOSED)

Welcome to Day 4 of Cloth Diaper Week, Im releasing this one early. Its 12AM, so it is now Day 4 of the week!. Are you guys having fun with this yet? I hope so...however this is a lot of work! LOL...

Bummis came out with a diaper that was a cross between a pocket style diaper and an AIO. What makes this diaper neat is that the insert comes out of the pocket but yet it is attached to the diaper which makes your drying time much faster that most normal AIO diapers.

These AIO diapers are called Bummis Easy Fit Cloth Diapers. These are so much easier than a pocket diaper and no need to make sure you are putting the right insert into this diaper because it is already attached. These AIO diapers are also One Size Diapers, so they fit your babies between 8 and 35 pounds and adjusts into two rise settings based on your needs.

These diapers come in 5 great color: white, blueberry, lemon, orange, pomegranate or lime. We were sent the white diaper to review.

These is such a unique diaper and so soft. The insert is made of Ultra soft rayon made from bamboo fibres against baby’s tender skin actually absorbs 70% more quickly than cotton – on contact – no run-off leaking out the side of the diaper when baby pees! And when they say it is Ultra soft, I kid you not it is ultra soft. I love the fact that it makes Baby B feel like she has a squishy butt. HEHE. Even when just looking at it, it looks like it is soft and squishy. The insert is easy to just fold over and place into the pocket and if you worry that your baby needs more absorbency, then you can place an additional insert in the pocket. These diapers are only available in velcro closure, but I like the velcro closures on this diapers, because it has never attached to other diapers and the velcro doesn't fray like other diapers do.

Day 3 of Cloth Diaper Week: Part 2: Doopsy Cloth Diaper Review and Giveaway

Yea, I bet you didn't expect another review and giveaway happening today, now did you? Well I couldn't help myself. And why not, they are fun and you all are loving this! So, enjoy Day 3, Part 3! WOOT!

Recently I got to work a wonderful company, Doopy Cloth Diapers. Everytime I hear Doospy, I think of..."Oopsy Doopsy, I made a Woopsy!" And well, that is right, you can look at this diaper like that because "Oopsy Doopsy, I made a Woopsy in my diaper!" Cute right. Well, at least you won't forget right.

That is right, that is my chunker...Baby B in her Doopsy!

The Doopsy Cloth Diaper comes in 5 bright colors and with many different styles. There is the "R" style which comes with two 4 layer microfiber inserts, there is the "D" style which comes with one 4 layer microfiber inserts and one Doopsy PUL insert/bamboo soaker, and last there is the "SD" style diaper which comes with all the bells and the whistles which has one 4 layer microfiber insert and one Doopy insert/bamboo soaker and one extra bamboo/hemp absorbency pad to place inside the bamboo soaker.

Now, I normally test all of my diapers at night time first, just because that is when you get your true test and will know if this diaper will truly work for you!

I tested it at night with all the bells and whistles and ladies and guess what gentleman, NO LEAKS.

As you can see one side of this awesome insert is made of PUL and the other side is of Bamboo. What an awesome idea of an insert, seriously! Most of us are always worried, did I put enough inserts in the pocket so she/he won't leak.

Word of advise though, the first time I tried this insert in the diaper, I put the PUL part of the insert facing up. The first time that Baby B peed in the diaper, and I took the diaper off, no she didn't leak or anything, I had never seen a diaper show the yellowness of the pee, I was like wow, that was weird. Next time I tried it, I placed the PUL facing down and the inside looked normal. I know weird thing to notice, but I did.

These diapers are a One Size Pocket Diaper with prices to fit anyone's budget. The snaps are very sturdy and are snaps work properly and super eco friendly. You have the flexibility to adjust the absorbency and still have a super trim diaper to fit your baby's needs.

Day 3 of Cloth Diaper Week: Prairie-Tales Cloth Diapers Review and Giveaway Ends 8/20

Gorgeous prints, vibrant colors, beautiful. Oh yes, I am talking about diapers thats right.

Baby B and I love the one size diapers with the exception of a few diapers that I have tried and really love. If you wonder why I stick to one size is because Baby B is 10 months old and she is weighing in at 20 lbs already and already wearing 18 month clothes. Now mind you when you look at her, she doesn't look huge or anything, but the one size works for us because she is loosing weight with getting more mobile these days. However, I came across a diaper that fits my baby and it is not a one size diaper, Prairie Tales Cloth Diapers is one of those exceptions because their cloth diapers are a bit different in sizing than other diapers. Loralee is the owner behind Prairie Tales Cloth Diapers and did an amazing job with the design of her diapers. They went through a year long testing phase and the product that came out was amazing.

All of our diapers are carefully made with a laminated polyester barrier fabric, and with reinforced socket settings. No ripping out snaps when it comes time to change! The polyester fabric in both our solid colors and prints keep wetness from wicking out! The unique opening in the back make our diapers very trim and keeps the insert in place. Diapers come in many colors and prints and are easy to use and care for. They are sure to be a favorite!

These diapers are super cute and very vibrant colors to pick from.

She has extra small, which I think is awesome, for your newborns to size Large. One thing that is really different about these diapers is that they are not based on weight, they are based on waist size and rise. So when I said that I am more of a one size kind of a mama, you heard that my daughter was 20 lbs well she is still wearing a size small diaper of Prairie-Tales. I love that I have not had to go and get many different sizes for Baby B because we are still wearing size small! And it fits her perfectly.

The outer barrier fabric of the diaper is waterproof and will not require a cover and these diapers come with an insert. The inserts that come with these diapers have a different shape than most diapers and I like that about this diaper because I can definitly tell the insert is for this diaper!

Baby B is now crawling and has been for the last 3 weeks or so and she can easily move around in this diaper and there has never been a leak issue.

At night time, we place a doubler insert in the pocket just because with Baby B we can never tell, and no leak issues. With the 2 mil laminated barrier fabric, you won't have any leaks.
Like I said, we are still in the size Small, and we are actually overlapping the diaper to give that perfect fit that we are looking for. I relate the snaps layout like the snap layout of Fuzzi Bunz. One of the neatest features of this diaper is the inner which is made of microfleece inner and it is so soft and easy to clean and mama's the poo just slides right off with this. Some of my other diapers it doesn't easily slide off, but not this diaper...it comes right off. And I must be downright honest, who wants to stand over the toilet for longer than you need to, NOT ME.

So, because I was searching around, I saw she has some downright beautiful wetbags. They are not just beautiful, they are gorgeous. These wetbags have the beautiful print cotton for the outer, heavy duty barrier fabric on the inside with zipper closure. Handle has a snap to attach where is most convenient. Such a reasonable price for wetbags, almost where you can't turn it down they are so amazing.

Day 2 of Cloth Diaper Week: Applecheeks Giveaway Ends 8/19

Here is a company that is near and dear to my heart, Bum Covered Diapers. Why because it is one of the first companies that I ever worked with and two just because Melissa is such a sweetheart! Melissa is the owner of Bum Covered Diapers along with her husband, Justin.

Here is some information about Melissa and Justin: We are a Mommy and Daddy team based out of Kirksville, Missouri. We started using cloth diapering products with our daughter Morgan, who is now twenty months old. We love the idea of being green and saving money through the use of cloth diapering products. There aren't many locations for cloth diapering in our area, so we decided to open our own store to help spread the word and make diapers and accessories readily available to parents in our region and around the United States. We only sell products we use and love for Morgan. We currently purchase all of our diapers and some accessories wholesale, but our other items are all handmade by ourselves or Morgan's grandmothers. I love the fact that this is a Mommy and Daddy cloth diaper business. It is something that is near and dear to my heart, because I would really love to one day have my own shop. But that is not something in the near future.

Also why I love Bum Covered Diapers and they are near and dear to my heart is she sells Applecheeks Diapers, which I have a new obsession for. Its too bad DH says no more diapers, oh well!

Day 1 of Cloth Diaper Week: Soft Bums Review and Giveaway Ends 8/16

I recently got to review an awesome diaper made by Softbums. I have tried several diapers, pockets, AIO's, fitted diapers and many others, but not one like this one. Softbums are an AI2, which means that the soakers snap into the diaper. Not only is this diaper an AI2, but it is a One Size Diaper so you don't have to get several sizes.

Softbums are a system of hidden elastic drawstrings held in place with toggles. SoftBums diapers with Slide²Size are easy to adjust and get a perfect fit every time!

When I first received this diaper, I freaked out because I thought wow there is no way this diaper is going to fit my baby. Mama's I must be like a guy because I didn't read the directions like I should have. HAHA. I just kept playing around with this diaper and finally figured it out (without reading the directions) that I can toggle with it and adjust the size. So, literally this diaper can fit from a very small baby to your toddler size baby.

First you have the Echo Shell, which is a waterproof outer shell that still lets your baby breath. Again this shell is a one sit fits all, which is awesome because you can use it until potty training. Then you will need the Pods which easily fit into the diaper by snapping into your shell. There is no stuffing and what I love about this soaker is that it is extra long, so I can fold it over and it makes it even more absorbent.

So you take your pod and snap it into the shell and when your baby wets it or dirties it, you can take that pod out and replace it with another dry pod. Softbums recommends that you have to soaker pods per each shell, because you may get it wet and will need another shell.

Baby B had such an awesome fit in these diapers, they are super trim and we had absolutely no leaks with these diapers. We did have a leak the first time I put it on her, but it was because I didn't have the diaper adjusted to her size to fit her the right way.

This is a velcro diaper which with certain diapers I am not a real big fan of, however the velcro is not exposed with this diapers which I really like and the tabs are long enough that they can be overlapped. What I have noticed with Baby B is now that she is getting more mobile, I have noticed I have had to adjust the settings again and her tabs are overlapping again!
