Recently I was so excited to work with with Bootyful Baby Boutique, because she made a custom diaper for my daughter on her birthday!
Bootyful Baby Boutique is an aunt-niece team of work-at-home-moms in West Michigan. We have been in business since April 2008. We strive to make adorable, quality products for your bootyful baby, and our beautiful earth!
Rhonda (the aunt) does not have any children in cloth as the youngest of her three children is 16. However, after experiencing old school flat diapers, pins and plastic pants she is passionate about modern cloth diapering. She enjoys baseball, sewing, embroidering, crocheting, knitting, walking and all things Disney.
Ashley (the niece) has cloth diapered both of her daughters since birth. After trying dozens of other brands on her oldest, she decided there had to be a way to combine the things she liked about the others while eliminating the things she did not...and with Rhonda's help, Bootyful Baby's patterns were created. She loves cooking, baking, gardening, sewing, traditional or digital scrapbooking, and reading.
We especially love to do custom orders - including starter/sampler packages!
So, just look at the diaper and tell me why you would not have gotten excited for your baby's first birthday!Bootyful Baby Boutique sent us a gorgeous diaper to to review. This diaper is perfectly sized fitted diaper that is side snapping which helps for a perfect fit on your baby. The outer layer of this diaper is cotton print, which is the cupcakes for Baby B's Birthday and it is not a waterproof layer. The inner layer of this diaper is microfleece that provides that stay dry feeling for your baby! And mama too when she checks to see if the diaper is wet. The insert is beautiful, and soft and has a snap to snap inside of the diaper which contains four layers of a super absorbent hemp/cotten blend topped with microfleece. Permanent tags are sewn into each insert showing the name, the size of the diaper, care instructions and the batch number. I love having the name on the insert so they are easily able to be matched up.
Well I know that this diaper is meant to have a cover on it, but I figured to me hey I am testing this diaper and I want to know its full affects and what it can handle. And also mama's, it was Baby B's 1st Birthday and I had to show it off!
Sunday Baby B turned 1 years old. Check it out, she was showing off her cupcake Bootyful Baby Boutique Diaper with her little things in her hair playing on the floor with the kiddies with all her new toys she got. (like we really needed anymore!)
What you guys couldn't see above is that her shirt says Lil Miss Cupcake, it just seemed perfect for the event and perfect for the diaper.
So, here is the thing, Baby B wore the fitted diaper with no cover for about 3.5 hours, the duration of the party and mama's I didn't put an extra insert in the diaper, only the insert that came with it. I knew she was wet, but the outside of the diaper wasn't wet.
Now I wouldn't have done that had we not been at home, because I could easily clean her up if there was a leak or something, but we were home and had no problems.
Right now her shop is only taking custom orders. However, their expanded website will launch October 1! They will have an inventory of in-stock All-in-Twos, and be introducing/stocking new products throughout the month of October. They ARE accepting custom orders, and we will still run those orders through Hyenacart for now!
