I am really excited to be bringing the next Cloth Diapers OORAH event to you all! This is a new one on the market and I really think she has a great product out there for everyone!

I had the joy of working with Joy, the owner of Ragababe, let me tell you a little about her (I always love to hear about people that I am working with):
I am a mother of two children, Isabelle, our five year old, and Asaiah, our two year old. My husband, Andy, and I are blessed with bright, healthy children, but both have extreme food intolerance and sensitivities. The first couple years of Isabelle's life were spent researching and experimenting with foods that she could tolerate. Our second child proved no different. At least I knew his diet!

But what I didn't know, was the solution to the sores on their bottoms. That led me to try cloth diapering.

I tried several leading brands of cloth diapers, which brought about some improvement to the sores. What bothered me the most was the performance of many of the diapers. Some had very limited absorbency and would leak after an hour or two. (Too many wet sheets and car seats.) Some would retain odor after washing and required 'stripping'. Others would look 'ratty' after only a few washings-- and the drying time (up to two hours) was way too long. And their looks and fit left something to be desired. There had to be a better diaper.

That pursuit has changed my life. With the help of my husband, mother and father (Carol and Dave), the process began that would mean thousands of hours of research and development, design and testing. Over 300 prototypes were created and meticulously evaluated. Hundreds of design and fabric changes. A lot of tears shed. A lot of prayers answered. Travels around the country. New materials developed for RagaBabe never used in diapers. Problems... and problems solved.

Without leaning on faith in an incredible God, we all might have given up long ago. But with every roadblock, came a breakthrough -- and a better diaper. We are so excited to offer two amazing diapers, our RagaBabe 'Easy' All-In-One and our RagaBabe Organic '2-Step' (Cover with snap-in Insert). Both designed to make you "love cloth diapers!"

Joy sent us her Organic 2 Step Diaper with the pink snaps and I just love the look of this diaper!

It consists of a waterproof PUL cover and an organic cotton insert that snaps into the diaper. Rows of snaps down the front along with a Velcro-style closure make it very sizable. The cover is lined with soft, quick drying, wick-resistant suede cloth. This allows both softness and leak resistance around the legs. The inserts are organic and the organic inserts come in several sizes (S, M, L) to make sure that you get the right absorbency and size your child needs.

This diaper comes in Size 0, 1 and 2 by adjusting the sizes.

0 4 - 18 lbs.

9 - 30 lbs.

15 - 40+ lbs.

My daughter is 22 lbs and we have it on the second set of snaps and it has a great fit on her.

When I first opened my mail with the diaper, I was super excited to see such a beautiful diaper. And for me, I always wash my new diapers immediately because I can't wait to use them.  I guess that is the cloth addict in me.  HEHE.

As you may have noticed is the aplix (velcro-style, hook and loop, whichever you like best) looks a bit different, but it works the same. However, Ragababe chose to go with this design to use after 18 months of research and testing.

What I liked about the tabs and the velcro style is they never attached to other diapers and folder over neatly while washing and never curled after washed and dryed. Ragababe also has a trademark on these, 'Cross-over Stars' on the front which allows the wings to overlap for small waist babies. The RB '2-Step' has an additional white overlap strip on one side to make it even more sizable.  We have the overlap strip, but have not ever had to use it.

The inserts are snapped in at the top and can be placed under the flap to make sure that the insert stays put. I have a wiggly worm daughter, she is all over the place, and the only thing that I have noticed and that is with any diaper that has snap in inserts, when she is moving around the insert doesn't stay where I want it to stay!

What is great about these diapers is that you can have a few covers and more inserts because if the insert is just soiled take the insert off and put a new insert on.  Of course unless the cover is soiled then you would replace the cover.

Ragababe also has a Ragababe All in One and this diaper has so many prints to pick from and I must admit I'm jealous.  I love the beautiful prints.

Overall this is a great diaper and works great for us in our home.  We even love this diaper to use at night time. I have never had any leaks and feel comfortable with using this diaper. I would have to say the only thing about this diaper that is a little hard on us, is the cost.  The only downfall for me on this diaper, is they are a bit higher cost wise than most diapers and I must say I won't be able to purchase them because they are too high for our budget.  Which is a shame since my sitter actually prefers these, but I only have one.  But this is a diaper I think is perfect for any momma to use and one you would want to have in your stash.

Recently I was so excited to work with with Bootyful Baby Boutique, because she made a custom diaper for my daughter on her birthday!

Rhonda (the aunt) does not have any children in cloth as the youngest of her three children is 16. However, after experiencing old school flat diapers, pins and plastic pants she is passionate about modern cloth diapering. Ashley (the niece) has cloth diapered both of her daughters since birth. After trying dozens of other brands on her oldest, she decided there had to be a way to combine the things she liked about the others while eliminating the things she did not...and with Rhonda's help, Bootyful Baby's patterns were created. She loves cooking, baking, gardening, sewing, traditional or digital scrapbooking, and reading.

So, just look at the diaper and tell me why you would not have gotten excited for your baby's first birthday!

Bootyful Baby Boutique sent us a gorgeous diaper to to review. This diaper is perfectly sized fitted diaper that is side snapping which helps for a perfect fit on your baby.  The outer layer of this diaper is cotton print, which is the cupcakes for Baby B's Birthday and it is not a waterproof layer. The inner layer of this diaper is microfleece that provides that stay dry feeling for your baby! And mama too when she checks to see if the diaper is wet. The insert is beautiful, and soft and has a snap to snap inside of the diaper which contains four layers of a super absorbent hemp/cotten blend topped with microfleece. Permanent tags are sewn into each insert showing the name, the size of the diaper, care instructions and the batch number. I love having the name on the insert so they are easily able to be matched up. 

Well I know that this diaper is meant to have a cover on it, but I figured to me hey I am testing this diaper and I want to know its full affects and what it can handle.  And also mama's, it was Baby B's 1st Birthday and I had to show it off!  

Sunday Baby B turned 1 years old. Check it out, she was showing off her cupcake Bootyful Baby Boutique Diaper with her little things in her hair playing on the floor with the kiddies with all her new toys she got. (like we really needed anymore!)

What you guys couldn't see above is that her shirt says Lil Miss Cupcake, it just seemed perfect for the event and perfect for the diaper.

So, here is the thing, Baby B wore the fitted diaper with no cover for about 3.5 hours, the duration of the party and mama's I didn't put an extra insert in the diaper, only the insert that came with it.  I knew she was wet, but the outside of the diaper wasn't wet.

Now I wouldn't have done that had we not been at home, because I could easily clean her up if there was a leak or something, but we were home and had no problems.

Right now her shop is only taking custom orders.  However, their expanded website will launch October 1! They will have an inventory of in-stock All-in-Twos, and be introducing/stocking new products throughout the month of October. They ARE accepting custom orders, and we will still run those orders through Hyenacart for now!

She sent me a t-shirt Nifty Nappy Fitted Diaper. It is a one size fits all for 7-35 lbs. This diaper is designed to be the only diaper you will need until you have potty-trained your young one!  The diaper comes with an extra nappy insert and they are really nice inserts that are 10 X 12' that are perfect to just lay into your diaper.

These diapers are so soft  and comfortable to just wear around the house with no cover. I mean look at the cute bum, seriously don't you want a Nifty Nappy on your Baby's Bum. These diapers have hidden elastic which is great to work with the size of your baby.  If you baby is on the smaller size you can fold the height of the diaper over and it still works perfect. Here is a video on how to overlap. There is an overlapping front snap for a custom fit, and I have to tell you, I prefer the overlapping snaps in the front for fitted diapers.  I want to make sure that the diapers are a perfect fit so that we don't have any leakage and to make sure that the diaper isn't going anywhere. And you know what, if you like your babies to wear wool over their fitted diapers, these diapers are perfect for them because they are super trim diapers.

From the last time I worked with Vilate, she has really grown and has a lot more products that she makes.  She has bitty bums which are designed for your bitty ones.  But she has many other products, that you must check out.  But I spoke about wool above, Vilate also makes Nifty Knickers which in my eyes are Wool Longies. Bummis is a product that a mom can trust in and use and know that it serves its purpose.  The aplix on the Bamboozle is much like the one that is on the Easy Fit One Size Diaper and never snags or attaches to other diapers and has attaches knowing you won't come off later.  I also know that if Baby B tried to get this off she can't.  HAHA, mama has a hard time getting it off herself.  So, I know she can't get it.  The wrap can be washed and dried as normal temperatures and has many different designs to chose from.

The first time I used the Bamboozle, we tried it overnight because that is normally when I like to use fitted diapers anyway.  I don't send them with the sitter because she gets confused easily and until recently did I know that DH knew what he was doing with fitteds and wraps (HAHA -- I was shocked). But I seriously thought that Baby B didn't pee, because the diaper was asbolutely DRY.  I was shocked.  I had to leave it on her a little bit longer and check again and I knew she had gone potty a little later, and it was still dry.
The wraps are amazing wraps that can be used with any fitted diapers and not just that of the Bamboozle, because when the bamboozle was dirty we used a different fitted and it served the same purpose and we were very happy with it. Normally Baby B wears a large and in the wrap she wore a medium and she still has plenty of room in the cover.

I wore my baby everywhere in the Moby Wrap, and everywhere I went, I was mobbed with people, usually other mothers, wanting to know what kind of carrier I was wearing and where I got it. I loved telling other mothers about the Moby Wrap and explaining the benefits of babywearing.

Diane sent us a Bum Genius 4.0 One Size Pocket Diaper in Sweet to review.

The Bum Genius 4.0 are an upgrade to the BG 3.0 diapers and now they have snaps.  I have a few 3.0's, but they are all aplix.  Not only do they have snaps, but they also have three more colors that were brought on Bubble, Noodle and Sweet.


And now this diaper can accomodate those babies whom are bigger, which I can tell you that my daughter will be one of those.  She is such a big girl.  Look at her wearing her BG 4.0 and she will be 1 years old on Sunday.

So, I have to tell you, I tried to figure out a way not to talk about a cloth diaper and not share a picture and I honestly just can't find a way to do it.  So, I will leave the picture running only during the giveaway period time and then remove the picture. So Baby B is posing for you guys in her BG 4.0

The Bum Genius 4.0 is a diaper that fits most babies from 7 lbs to 35 lbs.  You have three settings to make the diaper small, medium or large and to make it fit your baby best and now with these diapers you have easily resplaceable elastic that keeps your diapers fresh. With Snaps as an option,  you can now have the leg area tighter than you could with the aplix and from time to time we suffered from leakage in the BG 3.0 diapers, however with the snap option, we have not had that problem.  These diapers do come with 2 inserts, one the adjustable insert and the other the infant insert and you could also use both inserts to double up.

The Bum Genius 4.0 have proved to work for us at night time.  We couldn't use the 3.0's because she leaked around the legs when worn for longer than 3 hours.  We tried everything and with the snaps we have been able to use this diaper at night.

Oh how I wish I had known about this when I was pregnant with Baby B.  We had talked about cloth diapering with her, but just said since I had so many free packs of disposables (using coupons) we will just use those. Well, Baby B had something different in mind, her body said I don't like these and gave her a horrible rash that was bleeding. But I think if the gift registry was around or had I known it was around, we would have gone to cloth when she was first born.

Cloth Diapers OORAH, Event #10: Planetwise Hanging Wetbag Review and Giveaway CLOSED

Oh wow, I have to tell you guys about an totally amazing product that I am just off the wall happy and excited about.  I have quite a few wetbags and they are all great and serve their purpose.  However, Planetwise Wetbags sent me one of their Patent Pending Hanging Wet/Dry Bag and we are above "AWE".

I know, I know...you want to know why I am so excited about this wetbag. Well this wetbag solved many solutions for us at home. Our bathroom where we keep the "dirties" is somewhat small when 5 people have to use this bathroom and then it is also the bathroom that when visitors come use this bathroom. We previously were using a Diaper Champ to put the "dirties" in, however it just was more a pain in the butt than anything and didn't keep the smell out, then it got to be where they were just sitting on the counter in a pail and that didn't work. I was getting frustrated, I didn't know what else to do.

So, when Planet Wise contacted me about doing a review, I was more than excited, because I had already had my eye on this amazing Hanging Wet/Dry Bag.

This bag can carry your wet and dry items at the same time while keeping them separate. What is great about that is that, each bag is sewn and sealed for no wicking or leaking plus an added zippered dry pocket on the front including two handles so it can be easily hung on a doorknob and/or carried!


Great bag for traveling parents and those who go camping, what an awesome bag to keep in your camper and out of th way! This bag keeps the moisture and smell in, thank goodness, finally something that works for us. And the best part this bag holds approximately 20-24 cloth diapers!  And I actually got 26 in there, hehe, I counted.

So, for parents with a small bathroom, hey this Planetwise Hanging Wet/Dry Bag can solve all of your problems.  You can either hang it on the doorknob or you can do like us we hang it on the hanger on the back of the door.  You don't even know it is there and it is out of the way.  We tried for a few days haning it on the door knob, but it got in the way so we put it here.  The hubby asked me where I put the dirty cloth diapers because he didn't see any like he normally does.  So, guess what that means?  SCORE!

Also this bag has two handles on it.  When the bag is full or after it has been about two days, I take the bag off the hanger and just take it downstairs and throw it in the washer. EASY PEASY!  Seriously

I love this bag because it definitly promotes the reduce, reuse and wash.  And I no longer have to use an annoying Diaper Champ that just got in the way and we had the hardest time just getting the cloth diapers out of it.

Planet Wise has many other products than just the one I reviewed, such as the normal wetbags, pail liners, wet/dry wetbag and other products. They are patent pending and have so many different designs for you to chose from.   I could probably just go back and purchase more because of all the amazing designs and colors they have!
