Crunchy Angel sent me the cutest diaper with matching leggings. As a surprise. I love it!
This is a great cost effective and convenient way for you to cloth diaper. The Budget Bottoms shell is made of 2 layers of PUL to provide the highest quality that we can offer. We did not skimp here by making these with just one layer of PUL or by putting a cheaper material on the inside because we want these to last for the longest time possible with the least amount of wear. We are selling our snap in soakers separately so that your customers will be able to choose between our Fleece topped Microfiber soakers or a Organic Cotton Velour topped Hemp soaker (coming next month). We are recommending that you get one 3 pack of the soakers for each cover purchased. If the baby is just wet they can change only the inner soaker and not the whole diaper.
One of the great advantages of this system over the AIO or Easy clean diaper is that the shell is very durable and as we all know the fleece is the part of the diaper that is the most sensitive, with the Budget Bottoms system if you accidentally uses diaper rash ointment on their diaper only the soaker will need replacing not the entire diaper! Another great advantage over the AIO is that if microfiber is no longer absorbent enough for the baby the mother can switch to the Hemp soakers for just night time or for full time without replacing her whole diaper stash.

Budget Bottom from
Crunchy Angel. It is branded on the back with BB. These diapers are much like a cover with PUL in the cover that has snaps to where you can snaps the inserts within your diaper. This diaper actually came with 2 snap able inserts with a set of snaps at the top of the diaper and a set of snaps at the bottom of the diaper. The one insert that snaps at the top of the diaper is somewhat shaped like a T and then there is another insert that is rectangular shaped that is snapped at the bottom of the diaper. However depending on your baby and your babies needs it could be snapped over top of the insert that is shaped like a T.
One of the unique features of this diaper is they are made by
Mommy’s Touch and they have sister companies off of them. They also are
Toodle Bugz and
Dependable Luxory Mama Pads. So, when I received this diaper, I also received a special treat, I received a Baby Safari Cotton Print Toodle Bugz Leg Warmers. Now that is what I am talking about, dressing my baby to the “T”. I love the fact that I could put on a diaper and have matching leg warmers. At night time, I like for my girls to be warm and comfortable and knowing how I am, I just like to go to bed in my t-shirt, my girls seem to be most comfortable that way too, however with Toodle Bugz Leg Warmers. And what better they have matching leg warmers and they are in Style.
One of my first concerns with this diaper was the fact that one of the inserts the one that looked like a T somewhat, was that the stem of it was a bit on the skinny side and it didn’t actually fit within the middle of the diaper. So, it fit to the top of the diaper and the 2nd insert fit to the bottom of the diaper, but the middle around the legs was bare. So, I was quite concerned that we were going to have leaking problems. I normally always test diapers at night time first, however with this concern, I tried during the day and since I was sent another set of inserts I figured I would then try at night time. And I don’t know about your babies, but every time I put on a new diaper on my daughter, it seems she always has to poo, so our first experience with the Budget Bottom diaper was of poo on the inserts. Some of the poo did get on the bare area of the diaper as well. However, I was easily about to dip the inserts and rinse them and then take a wet washcloth and clean the poo on the diaper cover and then put on the extra inserts.
So we then tried it at night and I honestly was just a bit nervous about it, so I placed a diaper changing mat underneath the sheet for the night just because I didn’t want to wake up in a puddle of pee. EWWWW. Went to sleep and work up a few hours later and we were still dry. Major high five and so I felt almost comfortable to sleep for the rest of the night. I woke up 5 hours later and to my hugest surprise we were DRY. BIG HIGH FIVE!! When I took off the diaper, the insert was soaked with my big time night wetter and the cover was dry. I will give my honest opinion though, I don’t have boys, I have all girls and I’m not sure how it would have worked out with a boy. I don’t know much in that department, so I’m sorry if I can’t give you more information for your baby boy.
Overall this diaper was a plus sign in my book and we have been happy with it, so it is another diaper that I can add to my list of addictions for cloth diapers. That is right, add it to the list.
